Earth learns the location of key Goa'uld tactical information, and SG-1 launches a plan to steal the data from Apophis' stronghold.

When the S.G.C. learns the location of vital tactical information about Apophis's military plans, SG-1 must execute a daring snatch-and-grab operation to retrieve it from the Goa'uld mothership. O'Neill, Carter, Teal'c, and Daniel must infiltrate the serpent's lair and obtain the data crystals before the dread System Lord can turn his full power against the Earth and her allies.

From Avatar Press

The text states that the issue takes place during the second season of Stargate SG-1, sometime before "Serpent's Song." We have no other indication of when it takes place, other than that it obviously must take place after (not before or during) the Season Two premiere, "The Serpent's Lair."

On P11-54C, SG-1 is on a mission to somehow get aboard Apophis' mother ship and download information on his troop deployments from the main control platform. O'Neill, Carter, and Teal'c take out a few Jaffa, then use a set of rings to get aboard the mothership. There, they fight their way to the main control platform, get the crystal with the troop placement data, but get pinned down in the ring room.

Luckily, Daniel "beams up" three grenades that blow away the assembled Jaffa. SG-1 rings back down to the planet, not realizing that Apophis allowed them to get the data crystal and had, in fact, planted the report of its existence as a trap for the S.G.C. The crystal has a virus on it that is meant to wipe out the S.G.C.'s computer systems ...
