SATURDAY
Good thing we didn't plan a Stargate viewing party at the hotel on Friday night! The Radisson doesn't get SCI FI. But it worked out for the best: following a trivia competition, attendees were treated to the newest episode of SG-1, and later, Atlantis.

Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Shanks! The star of Stargate SG-1 took to the stage amidst screams and camera flashes.

Shanks told fans about his most recent work on the set of Stargate, and a few funny stories about his co-workers.

Michael answers questions from fans. What super-power would he like to have? How about a starch beam to shoot at Anubis' cloak and freeze him in place (demonstrated above)?

More questions from fans, more fun from Michael. Mid-way through his Q&A session, some kind words about Don S. Davis brought the co-star out from backstage a little early! As fans cheered and took pictures, Don spoke about his genuine affection for Michael Shanks ... before vanishing behind the curtain once again.

Michael laughs along with the very entertained audience.

Michael flashes his pearly whites one last time before exiting, stage left!

Don Davis signs autographs for fans before his own stage appearance, later in the day.

Michael signs autographs for a long line of fans.

William Christensen, Avatar Press' editor-in-chief, takes to the stage to tell fans about the new Stargate comic book series -- along with GateWorld's Darren Sumner, the book's scrupulous continuity editor.

Fleet Games demonstrates the new Stargate SG-1 board game for fans in the dealer's room! With little plastic pieces representing troops, ships, and Stargates, it looks to us like something of a cross betweeen Risk and Solar Quest. (You can conquer the galaxy as the Tau'ri, Goa'uld, or Asgard.)

Michael Shanks arrives at the special cocktail party in the hotel's restaurant, and finds some very excited fans! He's immediately surrounded by a crowd hoping for photo ops.

Michael and Don pose and mingle with fans at the cocktail party.

Don poses with fans before heading to the main auditorium for his turn on the stage. In addition to Stargate talk and memories of his life as a stuntman, he also told fans about life after SG-1 and his much-improved health.

Don fielded questions from fans. At one point, he grabbed a member of the audience to help him demonstrate an incident that happened during some hand-to-hand combat on set with actor Adrian Paul.
