Daniel Jackson joins Stargate: Horizon!

The fan-written, virtual series Stargate: Horizon will kick off its fourth season on October 18 with the double-length episode "The Gateway of the Gods."
And as the new Horizon site has reported, the Horizon team will be receiving a new team member when Dr. Daniel Jackson will be joining as a series regular. While so far the story of the season premiere is being kept under wraps, minor details have been revealed: at the time the premiere takes place, the SG-1 team has gone their separate ways (after the events of Stargate: Continuum), and Daniel has settled down, trying to lead a "normal" life.
But no matter how hard he tries, he's not very happy with how things are going for him. He misses the old days and his former teammates. But then something will happen that will send him off on a personal quest, and he finds a new motivation to once again step through a Stargate and head out into the adventure.
Stargate: Horizon takes place approximately seven years after the current television seasons, which places Season Four into 2014, after the events of the upcoming SG-1 features The Ark of Truth and Continuum. The writers of the fan series -- which is presented in weekly installments as written teleplays -- will be making all efforts to continue fitting Horizon's storylines into the established Stargate canon.
