The third episode of Stargate Atlantis Season Four stayed even in the ratings from the previous week, SCI FI Channel announced today at its Web site. "Reunion" earned a 1.1 average household rating on October 12, equaling the number turned in by "Lifeline" the week before.
This is down just one-tenth of a point from the season premiere.
The Nielsen ratings number is believed to be the "Live + Sam Day" rating. While at first glance Stargate Atlantis's ratings look to be down from last year, the "Live + 3 Days" and "Live + 7 Days" for the season premiere show that its total viewership is about the same -- or perhaps even a little higher.
DVR-shifted ratings data for episodes airing after the season premiere have not been made public. Nearly 20 percent of U.S. households now own a digital video recorder, more than double from the fall of 2006.
SCI FI Channel announced this week that it has renewed Atlantis for a fifth season (story), after seeing the initial ratings info on the first four episodes of the season.
Reality series Ghost Hunters led the cable network's ratings again for the week of October 8, with a 1.5 rating. ECW wrestling earned a 1.2.
Don't miss another all-new episode of Stargate Atlantis this Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on SCI FI!
