Trinneer returns in 'The Kindred'

Monday - November 19, 2007 | by Darren Sumner

Beware of SPOILERS for Season Three's "Vengeance" and Season Four's "The Kindred" in the report below.

Fan favorite Connor Trinneer will return to Stargate Atlantis in the highly anticipated two-parter "The Kindred," GateWorld has confirmed. The episodes are set to air February 22 and 29, right before the season finale.

The actor is also listed as appearing in the season finale, "The Last Man."

Trinneer plays the Wraith Michael, last seen in "Vengeance" at the end of Season Three. In that episode, Michael developed a race of super-powerful creatures and escaped capture.

Little is currently known about the story for the two-parter, which will also see the return of actor Paul McGillion as Dr. Carson Beckett (story). GateWorld has added a short teaser to the Season Four episode guide:
As a mysterious new illness sweeps through the Pegasus Galaxy, Teyla is convinced by a vision that the father of her child is trying to communicate with her.
Michael's part in the big two-parter and the season finale is not entirely clear. But given his predilection for experimenting with Dr. Beckett's anti-Wraith retrovirus (the same retrovirus that turned him into a human on two separate occasions), he just may be involved in the mysterious disease -- which the team discovers has been engineered.

New episodes of Stargate Atlantis air every Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on SCI FI Channel! Learn more in GateWorld's episode guide.
