L.A. Times photographer goes behind the scenes

Monday - June 16, 2008 | by Darren Sumner

The Los Angeles Times has launched a new photo gallery section, "Hollywood Backlot," featuring the film and television work of photographer David Strick.

Shot both on set at The Bridge Studios and on location in Vancouver, British Columbia May 6 and 7, the photos appear to include filming for the upcoming episodes "Tracker" (on location in the forest with Jason Momoa and David Hewlett) and "The Queen" (on Wraith sets with Christopher Heyerdahl, Rachel Luttrell, and Joe Flanigan).

Among the images is rehearsals for a Wraith fight scene, photos of the show's regular cast, and more.

The images also give fans the first look at the first Wraith Queen to be portrayed by an actress other than Andee Frizzell -- Apollonia Vanova, who previously played a Russian officer on board the Korolev in the Stargate SG-1 episode "Flesh and Blood."
