'Ghost' scares up a 1.2 rating

Wednesday - September 3, 2008 | by Darren Sumner

Executive producer Joseph Mallozzi reported it a few weeks ago, and now the SCI FI Channel has confirmed that "Ghost In the Machine" earned a 1.2 average household rating ("Live + Same Day") when it premiered on Friday, August 15.

The fifth episode of Stargate Atlantis fifth season saw the return of Michelle Morgan as Fran -- sort of -- and brought some closure to Elizabeth Weir's story.

The rating is down one-tenth of a point from the previous week's episode, which tied the season premiere's 1.3. Among "Ghost's" competition was the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Summer hit Eureka topped the cable network's ratings for the week, with a 1.9 rating. Reality show Ghost Hunters International earned a 1.7, and ECW wrestling tied Atlantis this week, with a 1.2.

Another new episode of Stargate Atlantis continues this Friday, with the premiere of "Whispers" at 10 p.m. (9 Central)!

(Thanks to Morjana for the tip!)
