'The Queen' ratings tick upward

Ratings are in for the September 12 episode of Stargate Atlantis, and it looks good for the Teyla-in-disguise episode "The Queen." The episode earned a 1.3 average household rating, up two tenths of a point from the previous week's new episode and even with the season premiere.
This number is rounded up from a raw number of 1.26, according to executive producer Joseph Mallozzi (blog). It does not include those viewers who recorded the episode and watched it after Friday night.
The SCI FI Channel's ratings winner for the week was Ghost Hunters, with a 1.9 rating. A new episode of Eureka turned in a 1.5, and ECW wrestling and reality series Destination Truth both tied Atlantis with 1.3 ratings.
Despite the show's consistent ratings in the first part of Season Five, MGM and SCI FI, along with the Powers That Be at Stargate productions, decided to end Atlantis after the current season and transition it to TV movies (story).
After this Friday's break for the 2-hour premiere of Amanda Tapping's ("Samantha Carter") new fantasy series Sanctuary, a new episode of Stargate Atlantis airs Friday, October 10 on SCI FI! Look for "The Lost Tribe" at a new time -- 9 p.m. (8 Central).
