He had planned to take her out, but problems with her step mother, Dr. Janet Fraiser, had cancelled this opportunity (fearing Cassie's flu bug would reassert itself).
Dominic kissed her on her front porch, but at that moment Cassie fell to the ground and began to convulse, unwittingly beginning the first stages of her Hankan rite of passage.
