Sheriff of Steveston, Oregon. Knox and his town had benefited with the arrival of Immunitech Research (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zeditron Industries), putting people back to work. When an accident occurred the town was not quick to discuss it, including Knox, who relinquished papers to Major Samantha Carter only at her warnings that it was a matter of national security.
Knox was unaware that he, as well as the majority of his town, had been possessed by immature Goa'uld symbiotes, which would aid in assembling a Goa'uld escape ship while the people were unconscious. His own deputy, an undercover N.I.D. operative (Agent Cross), was behind the implantations, hoping to see the ship completed to gain its technology.
Knox was treated with the antidote that would kill and dissolve the symbiote, but thought he was treated for an outbreak of meningitis.
