Black Ops Colonel who traveled to East Germany with his unit (including Captain Jack O'Neill, Charles Kawalsky and Thomas) to capture a Russian agent. The mission was foul from the beginning intelligence was incorrect about registering no sniper activity, but the sniper on the roof of Boris's safe house shot and killed Michaels.
Before his death, John asked that O'Neill take care of his wife, Barbara.
