CEREMONY OF FIRE
Ceremony commanded by the Goa'uld Moloc, in which all newborn Jaffa girls under his rule are immediately sentenced to death by being burned alive. The Jaffa priestess Ishta, who presided over this ceremony, could not stand idly by and allow her sisters to be murdered. As a counteroffensive, she formed the Hak'tyl resistance and based her group on the planet of that name to secretly spirit away young Jaffa girls from the murderous ceremony.
