J.R. REED SPACE TERMINAL
An advanced facility housing the Stargate in an alternate 2010 timeline. The facility is equipped with an advanced visual communications device, powerful Aschen defense drones and terrorist alarms.
Visitors regularly disembark to various worlds, including Chulak and the Aschen homeworld, much as would be done in an airport terminal today. Weapons are not allowed in the facility, and those brought through the Stargate are immediately confiscated. Detection grids mark entrances to the Stargate area, where luggage must be inspected if the alarms are sounded.
At least one Aschen transport platform sits just beyond the entrance to the terminal, providing instant access to the entire planet.
KEY EPISODE(S) -
2010 - Carter, Teal'c and Jackson are awarded medals of valor for their service in bringing the Aschen into Earth's list of allies, but are later forced to commandeer the terminal to get a message into the past to prevent the alliance, killing all three, including O'Neill.
