Sodan staff weapon typically used for hand-to-hand combat, approximately two meters in length. This term may be used to define more than one variety of tool. One variation has both ends encased in cylinders.
Another possesses jagged cutting instruments on either end. Two varieties of this particular version are made with different alloys (one with a silver and the other, a stone texture). Both are used for combat in the jomo se telek training ritual, as well as the kel shak lo.
Yet another variety is shaped in the general pattern of a flat arrowhead. Several other patterns are also available to the warriors.
