UPDATE ON THE WEB SITE
It's been a busy week ... but you'd never know it by looking at the web site! I've been working behind the scenes to transfer the sumners.com (where STARGUIDE is currently hosted) over to a new web host. Let's just say ... the current one unethically violated its contract with another site of mine.
The transfer takes up a lot of my time, but hopefully it'll all be done in another week or less -- and if all goes according to plan, you shouldn't notice any difference at all.
If you're subscribed to STARGUIDE Update, you'll notice there was no newsletter this past weekend, for the first time since it began. Sorry about that! Hopefully that won't be a common occurance.
Meanwhile, the rest of the STARGUIDE staff hasn't been slacking at all. They've been hard at work, writing tons of new stuff for us to publish! Debra is just about done with her final report on the GATECON Stargate convention. Ed has his weekly "Stargate Mythology" column ready for the next month (including Sokar and an interesting take on the System Lords "family tree" in "Seth"). And Penfold, our new reviews writer, is working hard on this week's review of "Legacy."
After I finish the write up for "Seth" and "Legacy," we'll have episode analyses for 21 out of 22 Season Three episodes! ("Rules of Engagement" will be along when the episode airs next month.)
Whew! Now, if I could just find a good domain name ...
Darren
LINK OF THE WEEK! The Nitpicker's Guide to Stargate SG-1 Meli's site is one of my favorites. Actually, it's a lot like this one: you'll find detailed analyses of each episode, complete with nitpicks (that's fan talk for "the art of finding mistakes in a television show, for the purpose of stimulating discussion about and enjoyment of that show," articles on SG-1 technology, the Goa'uld and more, plus the SG-1 Beta Site, an online discussion group.
