Role-playing game should please fans I would like to thank you for picking up the news story about the upcoming release of the Stargate SG-1 role-playing game to be published by Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG). As one of the authors of the project I feel it is important to get the word out to the fans to show their support for products based on the SG-1 property and generate interest.
If there are any questions I can answer I would be pleased to do so. I think the fans will be pleased with the resources in this product and the detail and care that we've all put into it.

Thanks, Don! I'm really looking forward to the possibilities of a role-playing game set in the Stargate universe. A bushel-full of questions on the project has been rushed off via e-mail. - Darren
O'Neill and Carter belong together Please, before the end of the series get O'Neill and Carter together. They have worked so well at trying not to get together. I think you should just let it happen. Let them get married or live together -- just some how be monogamous. Make it the perfect ending.
Mike Watson
Questions, Questions Next time you see Brad Wright, would you ask him how Apophis dialed out of the S.G.C. gate at the beginning of the pilot episode? And why Jack tells Daniel in the pilot that his wife left him before he returned from the first Abydos mission, but in "Cold Lazarus" Sarah asks Jack why he left her?
Cate
The prevailing theory among fans is that Apophis probably had one of those handy "redial" devices -- like we saw Lya use in "Enigma," and the future Cassandra in "1969." As for me, I think it's more likely that the order he gave to his Jaffa right before we see that the gate is back on was simply a command for them to redial manually. - Darren
Atlantis doomed to failure Brad Wright and his spin off series of Stargate SG-1 ["Sci-Fi announces Stargate Atlantis in development"] might go ahead, but will not only fall down as a dismal failure but also will never live up to the quaility entertainment that Stargate brought to its fans around the world. As one of the biggest fans of Stargate I would rather see the show end at the end of Season Seven or with a good feature film, instead of seeing the show picked to pieces and redeveloped in a completely different light with a new cast and crew.
If The Sci-Fi Channel wants to make a spin-off with a bigger budget, they would be better off sticking with SG-1. Give them the budget and keep the show that everyone has come to know and love, and the cast and crew that are keeping us entertained. I for one know that if Stargate comes to an end after Season Seven then good -- I will not be a fan of the spin-off series nor will watch or spend the money in collecting DVDs that the spin-off show produces. Stargate SG-1 the original is all good, so why change it?
Andrew Johns
Thanks for voicing your opinion, Andrew! Seven years is a great run for any show, and I think that the network and crew would like to keep going for as long as the actors are willing. But all good things come to an end, and what's important is that the Stargate universe lives on. Was Star Trek: The Next Generation an affront to all things Trek? Some argued that at first, but it quickly won people over. Give Atlantis a chance. - Darren
