October is anniversary season in the world of Stargate, and on this installment of the GateWorld Podcast we’re looking back at this incredible, 25-year legacy. It has been 10 years since Stargate Universe premiered with “Air,” plus 20 years since GateWorld itself went online. And next week, on October 28, the franchise itself marks a quarter of a century since the original film hit theaters.
Darren and Adam talk about all of this, first with a focus on SGU, what it achieved over 40 episodes, and in what way the final episode is a satisfying end. Then we’ll talk about Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich’s 1994 movie, building a world … and how Stargate ended up in someone else’s hands.
