Fan artists are an amazing breed of people, and the Stargate community has been blessed by some incredible artists over the past 30 years. Here at GateWorld we are highlighting some of them in the Fan Art section of the Stargate Gallery. (Go take a peek!)
This week we’re especially excited to roll out a new gallery with art from our friend Martin McClean, a.k.a. SGAGateBuilder, who you might know better as a 3D-printed prop artist. Martin’s work has been showcased at Gatecon and on “Dial the Gate,” and right here at GateWorld.
In addition to props he has also designed several blueprint-style art pieces over the years. We thought it was about time to gather them all together in a single gallery (which we hope will continue to grow in the future!). These four images are fun to zoom in and study in detail, and would make a great desktop wallpaper for any Stargate fan. Check them out:
The launch gallery includes Martin’s blueprint rendering of:
- The city of Atlantis, including the Stargate and dialing device, the Lantean control chair, and a Zero Point Module;
- The Puddle Jumper, a Lantean craft designed for travel through the Stargate;
- The S.G.C.’s mobile analytic laboratory probe (M.A.L.P.), both the tire and take tread versions
- The Stargate Command Gate Room.
Thanks to Martin McClean for sharing his work! You can give him a follow on Twitter @SGAGateBuilder to show some appreciation.
