Cloisterpeopleofthe.jpg

A race of people whose ancestors revered the Ancients, who chose to settle on the planet of the Cloister to spend their lives meditating on Ascension. For years people found themselves able to ascend, until one final group remained. Though they continued to meditate on their ultimate goal they were unable to cross into a higher plane.

When Lt. Colonel John Sheppard accidentally crossed into the barrier he spent half a year with the inhabitants, protecting them from the sanctuary beast. Little did they realize this beast was the very manifestation of their fears. After they chose to face their fear and destroy the creature was the village able to ascend.
