Roving news reporter in the Washington D.C. area. Selig got wind of Stargate Command beneath the sub-levels of N.O.R.A.D. at Cheyenne Mountain.

When Colonel O'Neill and Captain Carter traveled to the U.S. Capital for a commendation, Selig cornered Jack in a bar. O'Neill claimed ignorance, but later met with Selig to discuss the situation.

Despite O'Neill's continued cover-up, Selig persisted, but he was hit by an unknown automobile while walking on a curb next to the street.

Selig's source has never been revealed.
