Father of Cameron Mitchell. A test pilot in the 1960's, Mitchell lost his legs after a plane accident. Not giving in to defeat, he refused to allow his son to see him destroyed by the accident, and eventually he walked again.

When Cameron accidentally killed a convoy of innocent refugees in an F-16 mission his father assured him that he had to move forward, and that Cam was stronger than he had ever realized.

Frank's wife is Wendy, Cam's mother.
